Transgender Day of Remembrance

Training for Inclusivity, Diversity, and Equality

Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance exists to commemorate countless lives lost due to anti-transgender violence. At Changing Tide Training we are unapologetically trans inclusive, and always will be.

Yesterday was Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), and I want to take this opportunity to make a commitment to the transgender community: Our training, and all our services, will be uncompromisingly and unflinchingly trans-inclusive. Now, and always.

I am spending this week thinking of those lives lost to bigotry and hatred, and thinking of ways I can personally better support the wonderful trans people in my life. You deserve to be here. You and your identity are valid. Transgender people have existed throughout all of history, from Egyptian Pharaohs to Roman Emperors, to artists, poets, mathematicians, teachers, people of all backgrounds and cultures. This world is better for all the beautiful variety we have within it, and you are part of that.

Keep fighting, I am fighting alongside you.
